Job Description
CDL DRIVER- Great Plains Kubota is family owned and operated and we are passionate about servicing our employees and our customers.
We are seeking a hardworking, and preferably experienced individual to deliver/pick-up agriculture and construction equipment up to and including GVW over 26,000 lbs. The ideal candidate for our CDL Driver is the driver who wants to be home for supper--to start their day and end their day at home! This day-driver must be knowledgeable about securing loads, and must be physically and mentally fit to be the primary content loader when appropriate, and assist other shop personnel when forklifts or other apparatuses are being used to load contents. The successful candidate for this position will understand how to operate and drive the assigned vehicle, and will perform 'walk-around' checks prior to and following each trip delivery. The best-fit 'CDL candidate for our team is comfortable working independently, but also understands the importance of good communication with the Service Manager and Service Advisor. The Driver is often the first person in our organization who shows our customer the actual equipment that the customer has purchased. The driver also delivers equipment manuals and keys, and s/he often will need to have customers to sign paperwork. The driver will also attempt to answer a customer's equipment questions; if the driver does not know the answer to the questions---s/he will notify the sales or service departments to follow-up with the customer. The Great Plains CDL Driver is the last person with our company who will interact with this customer on that particular deal until we see that customer again in our store for parts and service--- this role is also about customer service ! The CDL Driver must be able to perform the following essential job functions including: Be able to provide a current medical card Be able to pass a DOT drug test, alcohol test, and physical Be able to pass a Background Be able to provide a clean driving record Be able to demonstrate knowledge of securing loads Be able to pass a CDL drive-test Be able to push, pull or lift 50 lbs with repetition Be able to bend, stoop, climb with repetition Be able to read and write Be able to use mapping tools for drive-time efficiencies Be willing to communicate a deviation off of the assigned route Be capable of following directions Be able to perform any other job function that might be determined to make sense within the scope of the job title, and that is consistent with the tone of the requirements numerated upon above As a member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive compensation package which includes an hourly rated salary that is eligible for overtime, along with: Medical, Dental and Vision insurances 401K with employer match Paid time-off for Vacation and Sickness Company paid Life insurance Company participation with Long-term Disability insurance Paid Holidays Great Plains Kubota is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
