OTR Flatbed CDL A Company Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across regional and national routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Securely load, unload, and tarp flatbed freight, including oversized or heavy items, using proper equipment and techniques Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays Handle freight that may require specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks for loading or unloading at various sites Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and safety reports in compliance with federal guidelines Skills Proven experience in truck driving, especially with flatbed trailers and long-haul routes Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and tractor-trailer handling techniques Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker loads, or other specialized freight is a plus Excellent route planning skills to ensure timely deliveries across diverse locations Competence in operating various commercial vehicles including dump trucks or flatbeds for different cargo types Good physical condition for handling freight loads and performing vehicle inspections consistently Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
