Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and heavy equipment to transport goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial driving, vehicle maintenance, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries and uphold our commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics operations, contributing to the seamless movement of materials and products. Duties Safely operate a variety of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers with manual transmissions. Load and unload cargo using mechanical knowledge and appropriate equipment, ensuring secure handling of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with regulations. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws, safety protocols, and delivery schedules. Perform heavy lifting as needed during loading or unloading processes to handle bulky or heavy items safely. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for all shipments transported. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks and specialized equipment. Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver roles involving load & unload tasks. Mechanical knowledge of trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles comfortably and safely. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo during loading/unloading activities. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record demonstrating safety awareness. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial transportation and vehicle maintenance standards.
