Job Description

Are you passionate about creating a smooth and successful start for professional drivers? Join our team as an Orientation Specialist, where you'll play a key role in ensuring drivers are well-prepared, vehicles are road-ready, and our terminal operations run efficiently. This role blends hands-on training, safety coordination, and cross-functional teamwork to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience.
Duties & Responsibilities Lead Road & Skills Testing :
Evaluate new drivers through comprehensive road and skills assessments to ensure readiness and safety. Train on
Tech Tools :
Guide drivers through the use of Geotab devices and e-logs, making sure they're confident and compliant.
Collaborate Across Teams :
Partner with Orientation, Safety, Maintenance, Operations, and Recruiting to streamline processes and support driver success.
Inspect & Document Vehicles :
Conduct thorough inspections of trucks being issued, ensuring accurate documentation and readiness.
Teach Equipment Use :
Provide hands-on training for Reefer units, APU/EPU systems, and other essential equipment.
Support Terminal Operations :
Assist the Orientation Manager and contribute to the smooth functioning of the terminal.
Adapt & Assist :
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support our drivers and team.
Talent Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, paired with relevant professional experience. Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and energy. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple programs.
