Local Truck Driver Class A Mon - Fri - Home Daily - No Touch Freight

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes while adhering to delivery schedules. A successful Truck Driver will have experience with various types of vehicles, including tankers and refrigerated trailers. Responsibilities Operate trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while managing time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transit. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road. Assist in the maintenance of the truck, including routine checks on oil, brakes, tires, and other essential systems. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preffered. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is advantageous. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations related to tanker transport is beneficial. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
