As operations expand, we are seeking a reliable and dedicated CDL A Truck Driver to join the team!

Please Note:

Candidates must possess a manual endorsement! Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our premium hardwood products throughout the Portland Metro area. This position involves loading and unloading specialty hardwood onto the trucks, securing the load, and delivering it to various destinations. The job demands physical strength for heavy lifting and a commitment to maintaining delivery schedules, potentially requiring overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a manual CDL Class A truck responsibly, transporting specialty hardwood lumber within the Portland Metro area.
• Load and unload cargo onto the truck, utilizing proper techniques and equipment.
• Secure and safeguard the load to prevent damage during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Carry out basic maintenance checks on the truck and promptly report any issues.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Exceptional driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-oriented demeanor.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work overtime and adapt to flexible schedules when necessary.

Schedule:

8-week schedule with 1-2 overnights in Eastern Washington per month Starting wage: $26

• 30 per hour depending on experience.
