Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
An employer in The Dalles is hiring a dependable Box Truck Driver for a three-day-a-week route from June through September. No CDL is required. This position is perfect for students, seasonal workers, or anyone seeking extra income over the summer. You'll operate a 26-foot box truck on daily round trips, ensuring deliveries are loaded, secured, and delivered safely and on time.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to drive 26-foot box truck.
  • Minimum 1 year experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
  • Must lift and move heavy items (30-50+ lbs.
) during pick-ups and drop offs.
PREFERENCES
  • Experience with delivery routes or logistics work.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle inspections and maintenance
JOB DUTIES
  • Safely operate a 26-foot box truck on scheduled daily routes while following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Complete early morning departures and manage time effectively to ensure all deliveries and pickups are made on schedule.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitor vehicle condition, and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Load, unload, and secure laundry items using proper equipment and safe lifting techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, fuel usage, and inspections.
  • Communicate with dispatch or supervisors regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
  • Provide professional and courteous service at all delivery and pickup locations. HOURS
  • 30-35 hours per week. PAY
  • $20.
00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience
