Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE
ofJOB:
Load out landscape products SAFELY. May occasionally be asked to collect revenue and produce customer receipts with accuracy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Maintain the off-load area free of clutter and dust.
- Load customers' vehicles with purchased products.
- Operate and service tractor and loader as needed.
- Operate and maintain rolling stock, including tractors, and fork truck.
- Inspect wood waste as it's dropped to minimize the presence of foreign materials.
- Assess load size and direct people to the proper drop site.
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate soil products for their specific needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
SECONDARY DUTIES
- Collect fees and other revenue from sales of landscape products.
- Operate POS system to produce customer receipts.
- Operate credit card device.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS

The ability to assist customers with calculating the yardage of product needed by the measurements of the project area. Must be able to operate heavy machinery; loader, reach lift, forklift, and skip loader. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Customer service skills are essential to this position.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
