Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and more. As a CDL A driver, you will be the vital link between our company and our customers, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in route driving, load & unload procedures, and vehicle operation will drive our success forward. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across diverse routes to deliver freight on time. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Secure freight properly for transport to prevent damage during transit; handle special cargo like tanker loads or refrigerated items with care. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Experience Proven truck driving experience with a valid CDL A license; experience operating tractor-trailers preferred. Familiarity with various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Hands-on experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods. Knowledge of safety standards related to commercial driving and freight handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently across different terrains and weather conditions. Prior delivery driver experience emphasizing route efficiency and customer service excellence is highly desirable.
