Job Description
Driver Duties and Responsibilities Practice safe driving habits Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards Accurately follow routes, maps, and directions Able to open vehicle doors, bending, lifting & climbing Keep exterior of vehicle clean and presentable Maintain vehicle equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, DEF, and perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety Able to drive new model well maintained vehicles Hand truck - load and unload vehicle Collect payments, document amount, and offer receipts when necessary Complete documentation such as daily truck logs, mileage, and or cargo reports Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately. Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle and report any issues. Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules Customer service oriented that takes pride in their work Skills High school diploma/GED required Class A, B or C driver's license in good standing No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years No DWI/DUI in last 5 years 1 year "Commercial" driving experience required, will train.
