Courier Driver - Independent Contractor Quality Biomedical - 2.3 Allentown, PA Job Details Part-time $730 - $2,200 a month 1 day ago Qualifications Box truck Passenger vehicle Courier driving Gig economy work experience Van driving Full Job Description Quality Biomedical is seeking a driver with his / her own cargo van, sprinter, 2 axle trailer, or box truck, to pick up and deliver small to medium pieces of medical equipment. The radius for pickups and deliveries will be around 68-1326+ miles max from the Service Center; specific routes will vary and will generally include several stops. Courier would be positioned ideally near Allentown, PA. Route locations include Brooklyn, NY, Green Island/Cairo NY, Pottstown, PA, Maine, parts of CT, King of Prussia, PA, and Wilmington, DE. Currently, there is a need for a driver to run routes on an as needed, part time basis, varying anywhere from 2-3 routes in a given week. There is a possibility of one day being an overnight route every 3-4 weeks. In the case that a route is overnight, the Company will offer $80 for overnight stay to reimburse for hotel accommodations. This driver will work in conjunction with our Logistics team and will involve crossing state lines often. The owner / driver will be an independent contractor with a vehicle that is properly licensed, insured, and maintained. Bed length greater than 10ft for cargo is required to be considered as an independent contractor with QB. The owner/ driver is also expected to have a clean driving record and must have a $1M Commercial Liability Policy at minimum (Cargo Insurance, specifically, is currently not required). The Company will enter into a formal agreement for the provision of delivery services. The successful owner / driver will be paid $0.80 to $1.00 a mile

ROUND TRIP

(billed as from and to the service center), for each assignment. Assignments could be given on any day of the week , Monday-Friday as our business expands in this region. This is an as-needed, part-time opportunity. Drivers in this region based on this schedule could earn $730 to $2200 per 3-4 weeks depending on routes that are available if and when they are.
