Feed Truck Driver - CDL B

Schedule Monday-Friday (Additional hours based on business need.) SUMMARY The focus of the Truck Driver is to exercise safe driving practices to ensure their safety and the safety of the general public. The driver is responsible for loading and unloading the truck according to established standard operating procedures to prevent cross-contamination of feed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivers feed from the feed mill to customer farms and other destinations
• Responsible for inspection of equipment before loading product onto truck
• Unloads feed at the correct destination and into designated bins
• Must complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Required to follow all bio security rules
• Reports truck and equipment maintenance issues to management
• Completes written feed delivery reports
• Must meet all DOT requirements and comply with DOT rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior driving experience desired. Language Skills
• The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language. Math Skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Physical Demands
• Must be met by an employee to successfully perform job.
• Required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent need to talk or hear. Occasional need to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment
