Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating waste/recycling trucks. This role involves driving to various locations to pick up organic material while ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials. A commitment to safety and efficiency is essential in this position. Responsibilities Operate a dump style truck with cart tipper on rear. Safely load and unload cargo at designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively regarding pick up schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Handle heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading materials. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in the waste industry or in a similar role is preferred. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is a plus. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on the road.
