Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security Drive a variety of truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to meet diverse delivery needs Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing delivery schedules and customer requirements Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any vehicle issues that arise during trips Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL Class A license Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Prior experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is highly desirable Delivery driver experience involving freight handling and load & unload procedures Familiarity with route driving across urban and rural areas with an emphasis on safety and punctuality Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo Knowledge of DOT regulations related to hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety protocols Embark on a rewarding driving career where your skills make a difference every day!
