Job Description

Overview The Dress Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of packaged goods to designated locations while representing Bell & Evans with professionalism and reliability. This position involves traveling state to state to deliver product goods to stores or warehouses, with the opportunity to return home regularly. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations. Log into the ELD system accurately and maintain required documentation. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and complete a DVIR at the end of each shift. Report all vehicle issues, accidents, citations, or DOT inspections (violations or not) to the Garage Manager or Supervisor within 24 hours. Maintain anexcellent safety and attendance recordaccording to company policy. Refuel trucks at Bell & Evans facilities at the beginning and/or end of each shift; refuel only the minimum needed if fueling on the road. Ensure reefer units are properly fueled before trips. Keep company vehicles and the Wellness Center area clean and free of debris. Handle delivery-related payments when necessary and retain receipts for reimbursement. Respond professionally to all road or customer service situations. Be a team player, assisting when coworkers are on PTO or during peak operational needs. Remain flexible and willing to assist in other departments when required(e.g., jockey or support roles). Keep essential provisions in the truck (medicine, clothing, blankets, etc.) in case of emergencies or breakdowns. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL and current driver s license. Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience. Self-motivated and dependable; able to work independently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Demonstrates ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent safety awareness and attention to detail. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as required. Physically capable of performing job-related tasks safely.
