00 per hour 26-05848 Job Summary The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials to customer locations using Class A commercial vehicles, including single-axle flatbeds, tandem-axle flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. This position primarily involves driving and delivering materials while also supporting warehouse operations as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer service skills, reliability, attention to safety, and compliance with all applicable transportation regulations. Job Responsibilities Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including flatbeds and tractor-trailers, to deliver materials to customer locations. Transport materials within assigned delivery routes and schedules. Verify delivery locations and ensure accurate navigation to customer sites. Load, secure, transport, and unload materials while ensuring compliance with vehicle weight restrictions and safety standards. Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery documentation. Review deliveries with supervisors to ensure completion and accuracy. Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding delivery status, route changes, delays, or operational concerns. Pick up customer returns and verify returned products against documentation. Collect local purchase orders and associated shipping documentation as required. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, accidents, incidents, or moving violations promptly. Refuel vehicles as necessary and maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness. Assist with warehouse operations, including staging orders, loading trucks, unloading deliveries, and organizing materials. Maintain compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety procedures. Provide professional and courteous customer service during all customer interactions. Support operational goals and perform additional duties as assigned. Work overtime and flexible schedules as required to meet business demands. Job Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Must possess the required state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation and provide proof upon request. Minimum of one year of experience operating Class A commercial vehicles. Minimum of one year holding a valid CDL. Ability to safely operate flatbed trucks and tractor-trailers. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation safety requirements. Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Experience securing loads and transporting materials safely. Strong customer service and communication skills. Proficiency using smartphone applications and mobile technology. Ability to lift, carry, load, unload, and move materials as required. Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of reliability and professionalism. Must be prompt, dependable, and safety-focused. Ability to work early morning schedules, extended hours, overtime, and varying start times based on delivery requirements. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Experience Minimum of one year of Class A commercial driving experience required. Experience delivering construction, industrial, building materials, or similar products preferred. Flatbed delivery experience preferred. Moffett experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred.
