In this energetic role, you will operate dump trucks and other specialized vehicles to transport materials efficiently and safely across various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route navigation, and load management will help keep projects on track while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris. Load and unload materials accurately using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring secure cargo for transit. Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, routes traveled, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members to coordinate pickups and drop-offs efficiently. Assist with the setup of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment as needed for specific cargo types. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transportation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or tanker vehicles. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Knowledge of load securing techniques and safety protocols for heavy-duty vehicle operation. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual methods when required. Strong route planning skills with a focus on efficiency and safety during route driving. Experience with freight handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
