THE POSITION
Build a solid foundation as a PennDOT CDL Operator Trainee with the Department of Transportation, Lebanon County Maintenance Organization. This position will provide structured training that will help you develop equipment operation and maintenance abilities. Your work will support roadway safety and help keep Lebanon County moving. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides hands on training in equipment operation and manual labor tasks that support highway and bridge maintenance activities. The role will help you develop the skills needed to follow safety practices, complete inspections, and support daily maintenance operations. As a PennDOT CDL Operator Trainee, you will perform the following duties:
Equipment Training:
Learn to operate trucks, loaders, and other machinery for highway and bridge maintenance
Tool Operation:
Use motorized and manual tools safely for a variety of laboring tasks
Safety Awareness:
Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain awareness of worksite risks
Worksite Support:
Assist maintenance crews by performing inspections, adjustments, and general labor duties
Environmental Compliance:
Apply environmental protection requirements during maintenance activities Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
Must possess an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent. Must possess an active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit by the first day of work. Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations by the first day of work.
