Job Description
Lewistown, PA | Full-Time | OTR | Home Every Other Weekend ──────────────────────────────────────────
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a Class A OTR flatbed position hauling commercial and residential garage doors out of Lewistown, PA. Drivers run multi-stop routes covering the eastern United States and Canada, with loads leaving the plant on Sunday mid-afternoon. This is a hands-on, load securement-focused role with a consistent freight base and a dedicated customer relationship. ──────────────────────────────────────────COMPENSATION
- $28.00 per hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours in a week ──────────────────────────────────────────
HOME TIME
- OTR position
- drivers are home at least every other weekend
- Loads depart the plant Sunday mid-afternoon
- Drivers return throughout the week
- Shorter runs may have a second load assigned upon return ──────────────────────────────────────────
DRIVING AREA
Routes cover a wide regional and national footprint:- North Dakota to Texas and all states east
- Canada routes included
- Delivery locations include job sites, customer warehouses, and roadside offload locations ──────────────────────────────────────────
THE FREIGHT
Drivers haul commercial and residential garage doors out of two plants:- Overhead door plant in Lewistown, PA
- Sectional garage door plant in Williamsport, PA
- Raw materials are also hauled back into the plant Freight details:
- Loads are a mixture of crated and loose material
- Touch freight
- hand unloading assist required
- Roadside offload may be required at certain customer locations
- Driver is responsible for load securement at all times
- Strong attention to appointment times and customer communication is essential ──────────────────────────────────────────
EQUIPMENT
- Sleeper tractors with APUs
- Dry van and Conestoga trailers (Conestoga experience preferred)
- Electronic logging device (ELD)
- Load securement: strapping ──────────────────────────────────────────
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class A CDL
- Flatbed and load securement experience
- required
- Ability to operate and secure a Conestoga trailer (experience preferred, will consider strong flatbed background)
- Must be able to follow appointment times and communicate proactively with the management team
- Comfortable with OTR schedule
- home at least every other weekend
- Passport required within 90 days of hire (Canada routes)
- Ability to assist with unloading and roadside offload as needed
- Punctual, reliable, and professional at all customer locations
- Ability to maintain accurate electronic logs

- Clothing displaying offensive, inappropriate, discriminatory, or unsafe language, graphics, or imagery is not permitted
Footwear:
- Steel-toe or composite-toe safety boots with fully enclosed toes and adequate ankle coverage
