Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating non CDL box trucks and specialized glass hauling vehicles to deliver glass products to designated locations. This role requires adherence to safety regulations, handling of product (glass), heavy lifting, and customer service skills. The role requires ability to spend 2 nights / week at company provided hotel with meal stipend. Full time position is maximum 4 days / week. Duties Operate 26' Box Truck and Specialized Glass Truck in a safe and efficient manner. DOT Physical required. CDL not required. Trucks less than 26,000 GVW. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries. Routes will be relatively the same week over week. Unload product at customers facility. Handle material safely which will include heavy lifting. Wear appropriate clothing and PPE for glass handling. Precision driving required in tight spaces. Deliveries occur at commercial and residential addresses. Clear truck of packaging materials after return to facility. Keep cab clean and organized. Trucks are shared between drivers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Maintain ability to regularly preform overnight delivery trips. Requirements Valid driver's license and DOT physical card Clean driving history 5 years Prior experience as a truck driver with a strong understanding of route driving and freight handling. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Excellent communication skills and customer service focus. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.
