Tri-Axle Driver

Job Summary:

A Tri-Axle Truck Driver is responsible for getting materials and equipment to and from their assigned job site. The truck driver will be directly responsible for their assigned truck. Tri-Axle Truck Driver's will be expected to cooperate and work productively with all members of Big Rock Paving, LLC and Rylind Construction Company, Inc. (when applicable).

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Must work quickly, productively, and safely without error and consistently meet the production goals as set by their Supervisor, the Superintendent or Project Executive.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of the laws regarding the requirements of a CDL Driver and act in accordance with those laws.
• Must be able to make quick precise adjustments to vehicle controls.
• Must know plant/quarry locations and procedures.
• Must know the area and be proficient following directions to job sites.
• Must be willing to travel to any and all job sites without exception (including overnight stay as needed)
• Must comply with all company and OSHA safety and personnel policies.
• Must be able to assist in traffic control or other work-related operations when needed.
• Must keep truck clean.
• Other job duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must possess and maintain a CDL Class B and any driver associated documentation.
• Must have reliable transportation, follow attendance policy and be ready to work at their designated start time.
• Must pass a drug screen prior to employment and maintain a drug-free status in compliance with the FMCSA.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) or more years' experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and jobsite in order to complete work.
• Must be able to maintain Medical Examiners Certification.
• Must be able to enter and exit vehicle unassisted by stepping and/or kneeling
• Must be able to lift 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders.
• Must be able to lift 30lbs from the floor to your head.
• Must be able to push 80lbs and pull 100lbs.
• Must be able to make repetitive motions with all limbs.
• Must be able to move two or more limbs together.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to work the hours necessary in order to achieve the goals of the company.

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
