Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)

Full-time non-CDL Delivery Driver position. Starting rate of $21.00 - $25.00 (Commensurate with experience)

Job Summary:

Dutch Valley Food Distribution Driver is defined as a driver who delivers and picks up multiple stops on a daily or weekly basis using a non-CDL refrigerated box truck, providing excellent customer service to our clients. This driver also must handle the payment transactions and returns. Drivers also must be able to communicate with the transportation Department.

Responsibilities:

Deliver products to bulk food stores, grocery stores, bakeries, etc. Offer high level of customer service to our customers - maintaining good employee relations Check off products from invoice where necessary Safely operate a 16-to-24-foot non-CDL refrigerated straight truck Able to lift and unload cartons when required Responsible for delivery equipment (pallet jack, 2-wheeler, dock plate and load locks) Responsible for collecting cash and check payments for orders delivered Responsible for all required paperwork Responsible for picking up backhauls as required per route Start time can vary, depending on the route Possibility of an occasional overnight route that may require a hotel stay Write up and bring back any credits the customers may have All responsibilities as outlined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Safety Sensitive Position Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Customer focused. Must possess good driving skills. Excellent communication skills. Must possess a strong sense of direction. Must be able to pass DOT Physical.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have a driver's license. Must have a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 55 pounds at times.
