JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The New Kensington Downtown Partnership (NKDP) Grocery Driver/Coordinator oversees and implements the daily functions of the shopping service, including scheduling and providing professional, safe shuttle services to the residents in the New Kensington, Arnold, and Parnassus community to either shop for groceries and basic supplies at local stores, food banks, or deliver groceries that were ordered and paid for in advance. This includes daily documentation, organizing and building a schedule, and running reports. The incumbent is also actively involved in growth and change of the shuttle program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service and driving large vehicles.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
  • Act 33/34 Clearances
  • FBI Clearance
  • Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
  • Access to properly insured motor vehicle for client transportation and fieldwork and a safe driving record

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops, implements, and coordinates all aspects of the program with the support of the Manager - Community Programs and Supports.
  • Represents the program and is actively involved in program changes.
  • Receives and processes all calls.
  • Transports consumers to and from grocery store.
  • Answers shuttle call requests and schedules transportation.
  • Reviews pick-up times and process with consumers.
  • Reviews email and online requests, following up as necessary.
  • Provides direct shuttle services, including completing logs, vehicle maintenance, and overall safety.
  • Runs shuttle reports, as well as pulls and reviews data for shuttle improvements and the yearly grant.
  • Maintains a clean vehicle.
