Box Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a Driver to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to designated locations in our company box trucks. CDL A or B is required. Candidates must also have or be able to obtain a DOT medical clearance for driving a CMV and must be able to pass a post-offer DOT drug/alcohol screening before assignment. The selected candidate's hourly wage will be dependent upon experience and qualifications. Basic Function The basic function of this position is to transport finished and unfinished goods to and from customers according to the requirements as described in the process manual. The Driver will report to the shipping/receiving and warehouse supervisor. In the event the supervisor and/or shipping and receiving is not available they will report to the plant manager. Responsibilities Properly load and unload finished and unfinished goods Complete the required shipping documents where necessary Report any incidents encountered while on the road to supervisor in a timely manner Complete a truck inspection before and after each trip and record any defects found Complete a driver log of activities as required Report mechanical problems immediately Keep the truck and any working area clean and in good working order Plan routes using maps or GPS Transport finished and unfinished good to and from customers in a timely manner Communicate clearly with shipping and receiving, and scheduling to ensure that shipments are delivered on time Identify and verify the following Part numbers/names Customer names and address Initiate process improvements Maintain inventory of necessary equipment related to the use of the truck and loading/unloading Must Haves for Drivers of Either Truck DOT Medical Card CDL A or B Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen Ability to lift, push, pull up to 55 lbs. on your own and up to 200+ lbs. with a team lift or equipment assistance Ability to walk, bend, stoup, crouch, kneel, climb, stand, sit for 10 or more hours Ability to work in high/cold temperatures Ability to communicate needs and concerns in a timely manner Ability to read and understand process sheets Ability to hear horns, buzzers, and an intercom page and respond accordingly Ability to follow all driving regulations as defined by the state and F3 Metalworx Ability to use and operate a forklift or other loading and unloading equipment Ability to wear proper PPE- respirators (as needed), safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, and steel or safety toe shoes or boots Requirement(s) Active CDL Active PA DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one We're an equal opportunity employer.
