Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Duties Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt to construction sites. Collaborate with site managers and other construction personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and materials transported. Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, utilizing equipment such as backhoes or graders when necessary. Follow all safety protocols while on construction sites, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate effectively with team members regarding project needs and any potential issues that may arise during transport. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy machinery in a construction environment. Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and troubleshooting of vehicles is preferred. Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site requirements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required by the job.
