This energetic role offers the opportunity to showcase your driving skills, provide excellent customer service, and handle a variety of cargo with precision. We are looking for experienced drivers with their own box trucks (non-CDL) or high roof vans to serve our supply chain in a safe and timely manner (Independent Contractor) As a Cargo Driver, you'll be responsible for transporting mostly pharmaceuticals around the tristate area (PA, OH, WV) ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. Your dedication will help keep operations running smoothly and customers satisfied. We operate Monday through Saturday. A typical day will be roughly around 8 hours, with a start time of around 8am and ending around 4pm. These times will vary day to day depending on how much cargo there is and how long it takes to load and unload at each stop. Duties Safely operate box trucks and vans to deliver cargo across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of goods Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate virtual delivery logs Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maintain safety standards by performing heavy lifting safely and following manual handling procedures. Qualifications Valid driver's license and a clean background check Strong knowledge of driving regulations and route planning skills for efficient deliveries Ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform physically demanding tasks such as moving cargo and operating forklifts or pallet jacks Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude Warehouse experience is advantageous but not required, especially familiarity with heavy lifting, moving, forklift operation, and manual handling procedures Embark on a rewarding career that keeps you active on the road while making a tangible difference in our logistics operations.
