Job Overview Join our team as a Pilot Car Escort Driver and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of oversized loads. In this energetic position, you will lead the way for heavy and wide-load vehicles, providing essential escort services that prioritize safety, compliance, and smooth logistics flow. Your expertise in driving, route management, and customer service will help us deliver exceptional service while maintaining the highest safety standards on every journey. Responsibilities Lead oversized or wide loads safely through designated routes, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and local authorities to coordinate route planning and address any issues during transit Conduct pre-trip inspections of escort vehicles, including checking lights, signals, tires, and load security equipment Maintain detailed logs of routes traveled, incidents encountered, and delivery progress to ensure accurate documentation Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries from clients or bystanders professionally and courteously Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as needed to support load securing or vehicle maintenance Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with driver or courier roles preferred Proven commercial driving experience, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols for oversized loads Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks safely and efficiently Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor Prior warehouse experience or moving experience is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential Embark on a dynamic career where safety meets service!
