Job Description
Swarthmore College is a highly selective liberal arts college located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, whose mission combines academic rigor with social responsibility. The 425‐acre campus is a designated arboretum, complete with gardens, rolling lawns, a creek, wooded hills, and hiking trails in the Crum Woods. Under general supervision, the Shuttle Driver operates the Garnet Shuttle to various points on campus and transports students, staff and faculty safely.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide professional shuttle service to the Swarthmore College community.
- Be able to operate a 14-passenger van in inclement weather and road conditions.
- Conduct a pre/post inspection to ensure safe operation of the vehicle and document/report deficiencies or damage to the on-duty supervisor promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class 6 Drivers License and be able to operate an ADA accessible ramp.
- Must have a clean driving record and be accident free for minimum of 6 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous driving experience as a shuttle driver and or CDL preferred.
