Full-time, Contract Job Title:
Full-Time Class B CDL Driver (Stage Production & General Freight)
Company:
FLH Logistics LLC Location:
Rhode Island / New England Area About the Role FLH Logistics LLC is seeking a professional, high-caliber Class B CDL Driver to join our roster as a Full-Time Operator. This role involves operating a well-maintained 24-foot straight box truck for a hybrid schedule of both live event stage production transport and general commercial freight deliveries throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic.
The Concert & Event Production Aspect:
During our peak season (May through September), a significant portion of your dispatches will be dedicated to the live event industry.
Note:
We handle heavy structural staging only—we do not transport or handle lighting, audio, or visual equipment. This is not a standard drop-and-hook gig. Once the parking brake is set at a venue, arena, or outdoor festival, you transition from driver to production crew. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our internal stagehands and event crew to push heavy structural carts, assemble staging decks, build out the physical stage framework, and execute rapid-fire load-ins and post-show teardowns under tight venue deadlines. A typical stage build requires 3 to 5 hours of intensive physical labor on-site. You must thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where teamwork and heavy physical hustle are mandatory.
Equipment, Operation & Schedule Vehicle:
2014 Freightliner M2 (33,000 GVWR / Class 7).
Specs:
24' Box, Automatic Transmission, Air Brakes. (No tractor-trailers).
Technology:
Fully digital fleet utilizing the Motive ELD system and mobile dispatching.
Routes & Schedule:
Most stage venues are generally within a 2-hour driving radius. Primarily home daily with occasional regional overnights (lodging provided by the company).
Stage Production Days:
Live events dictate our clock. You must be highly flexible, as these dispatches frequently involve odd, non-traditional hours (very early AM call times or late afternoon/evening starts) to meet strict venue deadlines.
General Freight Days:
Standard commercial freight will be dispatched primarily to fill the schedule between stage production days. These hauls operate on a more traditional schedule, typically running between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM .
Compensation & Responsibilities Stage Production Hauls:
$290.00 Flat Rate per day dispatched. (
Note:
Stage dispatches explicitly require active physical labor alongside our crew, including the 3-5 hour load-in/stage assembly, teardowns, and load-out at the venue).
General Freight Hauls:
$250.00 Base Flat Rate per day dispatched. (Primarily standard dock-to-dock driving and live unloads). Volume Incentive Bonus (General Freight Only): We reward hustle. If FMCSA Hours of Service (HOS) permit, you will earn additional bonuses for executing multiple loads in a single shift: 2nd

Licensing:
Valid Class B CDL (or Class A) with an active Air Brake endorsement.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience.

Must be completely comfortable working odd hours for event days, while maintaining reliability for standard 7 AM
  • 8 PM general freight dispatches.
Technology Proficiency (Mandatory): Must own a reliable smartphone and possess the ability to easily learn and use mobile ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and dispatching apps.
Physical Ability:
Must be highly capable of performing heavy, continuous physical labor for 3-5 hours at a time (pushing structural carts, lifting heavy staging decks, assembling framework).
