In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving various truck types, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics operations, delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across multiple routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure and after delivery. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road. Ensure proper handling of specialized cargo such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials in tanker trucks following all safety protocols. Skills Recent graduate welcome • Experience with delivery driver responsibilities such as load & unload operations and cargo documentation. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual tasks related to freight handling.
