Route Driver - Class A or B CDL

$1,000 Sign on Bonus Our Newport, RI depot is look for our next route driving rockstar. Our commercial truck drivers have a schedule that consists of 4 10-hour shifts throughout the week. The start time can be anywhere between 3 am and 6 am. This is a local route, so you'll be able to be home every night. Our drivers have a starting hourly rate between $30-$31.50 per hour. Drivers are paid weekly, direct deposit on Fridays. The sign on bonus to be paid out in two equal installments. First payment of $500 paid after 6 months of employment and second payment of $500 after one year of employment. What you'll do: Provide excellent customer service and relay any customer concerns to your manager in a timely fashion. Handle 2" to 3" hoses pumping out grease trap materials unto truck. Clean area around tanks. Operate box truck or pick up and drop off containers as needed. Stay current on all Mahoney Safety trainings. Maintain a good driving record within Mahoney acceptable standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need:

A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License. Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience with your CDL. Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement (or willingness to get Tanker Endorsement prior to your start date). Good driving record. Safety risk rating within Mahoney acceptable standards. DOT certified medical card. The ability to lift, push or pull 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis

Working Conditions:

Work outdoors in different weather conditions. Exposure to used cooking oil and grease trap material odors. Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas. Handling grease coated equipment.
