Ducksback Inc. is seeking a high-caliber CDL Class A Operations Driver to join our Field Operations team on a part-time basis. This is a dynamic, hands-on transport role designed for a skilled driver who prefers local, varied operations over the monotony of long-haul lines. You will serve as a vital operational link, responsible for the safe transit of heavy machinery and essential materials to active jobsites. What You Will Be Doing You will oversee the field logistics and safe transit of heavy transport vehicles and site assets:Heavy Fleet Transport:
Safely and efficiently operate CDL Class A trucks equipped with manual transmissions, moving equipment, tools, and industrial materials across the region.Site Logistics Support:
Coordinate the precise loading, anchoring, and unloading of project materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure transport.On-Site Operational Integration:
Collaborate directly with field crews, providing material placement, logistical support, and hands-on assistance with asphalt workflows when not behind the wheel.Fleet Readiness Compliance:
Conduct rigorous pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs, preserve asset longevity, and guarantee safe operational status.Regulatory Recordkeeping:
Maintain compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, including accurate driving logs and delivery manifests. What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)Licensure:
A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) with no manual transmission restrictions.Driving Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of professional commercial driving experience is preferred.Technical Versatility:
Prior experience operating within asphalt, sealcoating, heavy civil, or construction environments is a significant advantage.Field Adaptability:
Active willingness to assist on-site teams with manual paving or site logistics when the transport truck is stationary.Schedule Flexibility:
Ability to adapt to varying project hours, including mandatory weekend availability based on contract scopes.Logistics Assets:
Access to reliable personal transportation to and from the dispatch yard.Education:
