Job Description
About This Job The Laundry Driver is responsible for picking up and dropping off the laundry according to scheduled runs, delivering clean linens to vacation rental units, and transporting items in need of laundry services to our central laundry facilities. Essential Job Functions Transport laundry from buildings in and around the assigned market to our central laundry facilities. Load and unload linen carts and other items out of the truck to assigned properties and the central laundry, recording inventory. Inspect, sort, wash, dry, and fold linens as necessary. Maintain vehicle(s): gas, oil, cleanliness — interior and exterior; fill out daily vehicle reports and report any malfunctions to management. Adhere to the Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) rules and regulations. Operate radios efficiently and professionally when communicating with staff. Notify security of accidents and complete appropriate documentation. Support housekeepers when needed with basic cleaning tasks. Other duties as assigned because every day is different in hospitality. Skills + Qualifications Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation, or similar industry is highly preferred. Must have a valid Class D driver's license with a clean driving record. Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms. Dependable and prepared. Showing up on time and ready to go is key to creating great stays for our guests and peace of mind for our homeowners. Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. Comfortable talking to people — online or in person — and able to share information in a way that is clear, thoughtful, and represents the company in a positive way. Workplace Environment + Physical Requirements Work may take place indoors or outdoors in a variety of settings including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities — often in varying weather conditions. We're in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this. Reliable transportation required. Ability to drive in a variety of weather conditions. Regular travel within the locally assigned market and/or region. Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance. Compensation Hourly position (non-exempt), with a pay rate starting at $18/hour. Seasonal position (subject to change), typically April 1•October.
