EWP Yard Order Puller

Description:

This position is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and loading engineered wood products (EWP) for customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while handling building materials. Forklift operation is a primary function of this role. The EWP Puller will spend a significant portion of each shift safety operating a forklift to move, stage, and organize truss materials throughout the facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONDSIBILITIES

Accurately pull and prepare engineered wood products based on customer orders and packing lists. Verify product types, dimensions, and quantities against order details. Safely load and secure materials onto delivery trucks or customer vehicles using forklifts, cranes, or manual techniques. Organize materials in the yard for efficient access and reduced handling. Conduct regular checks to ensure stock accuracy and quality of engineered wood materials. Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor. Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Coordinate with sales, dispatch, and yard staff to ensure timely and accurate order processing. Assist in other yard tasks as needed, such as unloading deliveries or maintaining equipment.

Requirements:

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is primarily yard-based, with occasional office or warehouse interactions. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday with potential overtime during busy periods.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Frequent lifting, carrying, or moving of materials. Standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
