In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods and materials to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, experience with route driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and load/unload operations. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring items are secured properly. Manage delivery routes efficiently, maintaining punctuality and providing excellent customer service upon delivery. Assist with warehouse activities, including inventory management, moving goods, and organizing stock. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the truck remains in optimal condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly. Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting and moving items safely without injury. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, delivery logs, and load sheets. Support team efforts in optimizing routes and improving overall delivery processes. Will also be required to pick and pack orders as you will not be driving the box truck everyday. Requirements Proven experience as a commercial driver, courier, or delivery driver with a focus on box trucks or similar vehicles. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not mandatory. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading tools. Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly and perform physical tasks related to moving cargo. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients. Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures. Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and load management.
