In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record, excellent route management skills, and experience handling diverse types of cargo. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient logistics operations while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of freight Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure handling of goods Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or other specialized vehicles as required for different freight types (MANUAL
AND AUTOMATIC
) Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations Plan optimal routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance Collaborate with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations Assist with load & unload procedures, ensuring cargo integrity and proper documentation Support warehouse operations when necessary, including forklift operation and inventory management Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience preferred Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles - MUST
BE ABLE TO DRIVE MANUAL
Experience driving wide loads Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable Knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securement techniques Ability to drive long distances safely while managing fatigue effectively Familiarity with route planning software and GPS navigation tools Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or with equipment such as forklifts Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatch and clients #
