Local Team Driver

Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles. Load and unload cargo accurately and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and weight limits. Drive designated local routes, ensuring on-time delivery while following all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle condition in compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Assist with forklift operation when necessary for loading or unloading freight. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the types of trucks operated (e.g., manual transmission experience preferred). Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving route driving. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload freight safely using manual handling techniques or forklift certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and cargo handling. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
