Job Description
We are a well-established Transportation Company looking for a full time Professional Class A driver to join our team of hard-working professionals who take a great deal of pride in their work. Local multi stop routes 5 days a week. Home Daily. Afternoon start time. Must have a clean record. At least 2 years experience. Is required to be able to unload and operate manual transmission. $2,000.00 sign on bonus!! Responsibilities Transport finished goods to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions. Call ahead delivery site to communicate your arrival Report defects, accidents or violations Take pride in all company equipment Skills Proven work experience as a professional truck driver (minimum 2 years ) Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELOG, CB etc. Ability to lift 75 lbs Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license Drive a manual transmission Be able to handle physical labor with delivering multi stop routes
