In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. Bonuses, raises and incentives available upon experience and performance. Sign on bonus of $250 after 6 months. Duties Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to pick up and deliver goods to various local destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Must have a clean MVR- no violations. Must provide a copy of MVR before interview. Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts, ensuring items are secure and undamaged. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly. Must be able to follow FMSCA guidelines. Must be able to use phone, camera, and several apps. Assist with warehouse activities, including inventory management, loading, and organizing shipments for efficient route execution. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience. Follow designated delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet scheduled delivery windows. Use route driving skills to navigate efficiently, utilizing GPS and route planning tools to optimize daily schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs, including mileage and fuel consumption. Load and unload cargo, employing heavy lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and handle any unforeseen issues. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and vehicle operation procedures, to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving and box trucks is highly preferred. Will need to have or get DOT Med Card. Prior delivery driver experience, especially with route driving and load & unload tasks. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Warehouse experience, including moving, heavy lifting, and inventory management, is a plus. Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with moving and loading cargo. Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using GPS and route planning tools to optimize daily deliveries. Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
