Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver

READY MIX CONCRETE TRUCK OPERATOR

Core Responsibilities:

• Operating the

Mixer Truck:

Safely drive the truck equipped with a concrete mixer, ensuring the concrete remains in a liquid state through agitation until delivery. •

Delivery and Unloading:

Maneuver the truck to designated areas on construction sites, control the concrete discharge using chutes, and ensure it's delivered to the correct location. •

Truck Maintenance:

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain the truck's cleanliness, and make minor repairs as needed. •

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations, including those from DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA. •

Communication:

Maintain contact with the dispatcher/plant manager, report job status, and communicate any mechanical issues. •

Following Instructions:

Read and understand delivery tickets, follow dispatch instructions, and complete tasks as required. •

Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and reliable deliveries. •

Other Duties:

May be assigned other duties related to the plant and grounds, such as shoveling or sweeping.

Skills and Qualifications:

Valid CDL (Class B or higher): Required for operating heavy-duty trucks.

Safe Driving Record:

Demonstrated ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly.

Basic Mechanical Knowledge:

Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other construction workers.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions and environments. Attention to
