This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, as well as RGN's, lay down trailers, various power only loads and a multitude combinations Of specialized pieces . As a key player in our logistics operation, you'll ensure freight is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule while adhering to all safety regulations and company standards. Your expertise will help keep operations moving smoothly and customers satisfied. Duties Safely operate heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, RGN's, annd various power only loads across designated routes. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring secure handling of various cargo types. Drive long distances or local routes with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with federal and state transportation laws. Secure loads properly for transport, including specialized equipment for oversized or fragile items. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, route information, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on heavy haul or tractor-trailer operations. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy loads and specialized trailers. Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles is preferred for versatile operation. Experience driving in the heavy haul field is preferre. Knowledge of load securing techniques and safety procedures for freight handling. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required. Strong understanding of route planning and driving regulations to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
