Job Description

Berger Allied Moving and Storage is a trusted, full-service moving partner serving families and businesses with care, integrity and was recognized as Allied Van Lines agent of the year in 2025 Job description: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced professional movers to join our team of long-distance owner-operators. As a Long-Distance Professional Mover, you will work with our clients to provide a seamless moving experience, ensuring their belongings arrive at their new home safely and efficiently. This position will be 1099 Contractor paid weekly. Ability to earn up to $350,000+ yearly.
Job Duties Include:
  • Operate truck and provide timely delivery of household goods.
  • Maintain safe operation and clean appearance of vehicle by complying with safety and operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and federal DOT regulations.
  • Work closely with dispatch, move coordinators and customers to ensure a clear understanding of customers' needs and expectations; address/resolve any service issues or complaints. Must be flexible and a team player.
  • Communicate with dispatch via email, text, or phone about; on-going trips and maintain schedule and upcoming / offered trips in a timely manner.
  • Use Electronic Inventory systems for household goods to maintain timely, accurate paperwork.
  • Securely pack, wrap, load, and unload items to be transported.
  • Set up and manage labor for loading and unloading.
We can get you started whether you have your own truck and have been running the roads for years; or we can guide you through the process of finding and financing a truck to get you started as well! We partner with your company to help you set and meet financial goals! We can dispatch locally, regionally, and even for long haul routes. We have a dispatch team dedicated to getting you the maximum loads and revenue ASAP; we NEVER force dispatch.
Job Qualifications:
You would be a great candidate for this position if you have: Strong customer service, management, and communication skills. Strong scheduling, geographical, logistical knowledge and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Must pass DOT physical and criminal, MVR, and credit background checks. Ability and Willingness to do physical labor. Own or have the potential to own vehicle.
