The Tow Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently removing unauthorized, improperly parked, or abandoned vehicles from private property in compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies. The role involves responding to service calls, operating tow trucks, and ensuring the secure transport of vehicles to designated impound lots. Operators serve as representatives of the towing company, requiring professionalism and excellent communication skills when interacting with property owners, law enforcement, and vehicle owners. Safely operate and maintain tow trucks in compliance with safety standards and traffic laws. Remove unauthorized or abandoned vehicles from private properties based on parking policies Respond to the public or local law enforcement agency roadside service calls Develop and optimize tow routes to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to clients. Accurately complete and maintain documentation of all service calls, including vehicle details, time, location, and condition Team, Customer, and Client interaction Adhere to state and local towing regulations Review Instructions Pre-Shift Truck Inspections Post-Shift Truck inspections Maintaining Equipment Competencies:
Technical knowledge of towing equipment and procedures, including vehicle hook-up, securement, and release methods Proficient in using smartphones, tables, and associated software applications for documentation and communication purposes Abily to quickly learn and navigate Regulatory Understanding Problem Solving Communicates clearly Ability to listen and take instructions Awareness Consistency in good judgement Positive attitude in stressful, intense work environments Ability to work at an efficient pace Ability to de-escalate situations in the field with irate vehicle owners, residents, visitors and/or clients Access to mobile internet and good working iPhone Able to arrive for your shift on time Education & Experience:
High School Diploma Incident Management TDLR License City of Austin License (COA) Physical Requirements:
