Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across local routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. You'll be the vital link in ensuring timely deliveries, load & unload operations, and maintaining excellent customer service. Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks on local routes. Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Deliver freight to various destinations with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Manage route driving responsibilities while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other trailers to prevent shifting during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; training available for qualified candidates. Proven truck driving experience with knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route planning. Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for handling certain freight types. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance.
