Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across designated routes. This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate different types of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks to transport freight across routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Follow planned routes and schedules accurately to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays or issues. Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other specialized trailers to prevent damage during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving or delivery roles, preferably with experience handling various freight types such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tankers. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., tanker, flatbed). Skilled in manual transmission operation and experienced with tractor-trailer configurations. Ability to operate specialized equipment including forklifts or dump trucks when required. Knowledge of load securing techniques for different freight types including roll-off trucks and freight on flatbeds. Strong understanding of route planning, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols for commercial driving. Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or with equipment; capable of handling physically demanding tasks associated with freight delivery.
