A Yard Loader Operatorsafely manages heavy machinery (like front-end loaders) to move, stockpile, and load materials such as aggregate, sand, or gravel onto customer and company trucks. They are responsible for conducting routine equipment maintenance, ensuring site cleanliness, and maintaining accurate inventory, all while strictly adhering to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities & Duties

Equipment Operation:

Safely operate rubber-tire front-end loaders and other heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators) to lift, transport, and stockpile materials.

Loading & Material Handling:

Accurately load customer and company vehicles with aggregate or other materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and material type.

Maintenance & Inspections:

Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment, including checking oil, fluids, and tires. Perform basic, routine preventative maintenance and report necessary repairs.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere to all company, OSHA, and environmental safety regulations, including maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard.

Communication & Inventory:

Coordinate with dispatch, scale operators, and customers to ensure accurate, efficient loading. Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by organizing stockpiles.
