This position requires LTL experience and strong driving skills, strict adherence to safety regulations, and excellent time management. The Line Driver ensures freight is delivered on time, in good condition, and in accordance with company standards. Key Responsibilities Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport freight between terminals or customer locations in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation. Secure, handle, and verify freight loads as required; ensure accuracy of shipping documentation. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of equipment, PPE, and accident-prevention procedures. Ensure timely delivery and pickup while maintaining high service standards. Maintain clean, organized, and compliant logs (ELDs), submitting documentation as required. Report vehicle defects, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, coworkers, and regulatory officials. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record. Hazmat Endorsement Required Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience (or based on company requirement). Doubles/Triples endorsement (preferred or required, depending on operation). Ability to pass DOT physical, drug/alcohol screening, and road test. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules. Ability to lift, maneuver, or secure freight as needed (may vary by position). Strong communication and customer service skills. Work Environment & Schedule Typically operate night runs or set routes between terminals. May require weekend or holiday availability depending on freight demands. Work performed primarily in a tractor-trailer with some time outdoors or in terminal facilities. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs as needed. Ability to climb in/out of truck cab and trailers safely.
