This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks and trailers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight across designated routes. As a key player in our logistics operation, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering excellence, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment as needed. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment when required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, maintaining timely schedules while navigating through various traffic conditions. Communicate effectively with dispatch to report delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on route. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations. Skills Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with manual transmissions and tractor-trailers. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of freight handling, load securement, and route driving best practices. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or manual techniques when necessary. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to federal and state transportation laws. Prior delivery driver experience preferred; ability to manage time efficiently across multiple stops. Capable of performing routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
