Job Description

TriCounty Materials and Services was developed in 2005 to serve the construction industry in the DFW metroplex. TriCounty has locations in both Gainesville and Sanger, Texas. We are actively seeking to hire candidates for the articulated truck operator position at our Gainesville location. Experience is not required but any truck driving or equipment operating experience is a plus!
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate must have the ability to maintain and operate a 40 ton articulated truck. Candidate must be very observant and able to receive and follow instruction from supervisors well. Articulated truck operators are required to maintain their equipment on a day to day basis, to insure safety for all employees. Articulated truck operators are also responsible for fueling equipment, assisting with maintenance and other misc. duties as assigned. Some operation of a tractor and other miscellaneous equipment may be assigned on an as needed basis. This position in on site only and does not require a CDL or any particular licensing.
Physical Requirements:
Have good hand/eye coordination and be able to operate hand/foot controls. Have good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet. Able to climb on and off of equipment to operate and service. Able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around mobile equipment. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Able to sit and operate equipment for long periods, up to 10 hours per day. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures: heat, cold, wetness, dryness, dust and noisy conditions. Able to work at various heights.
About You:
Prompt and regular attendance. Positive, team-based attitude. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
Other Details:
Pay will vary, based on experience. Benefits offered after 60 days of employment. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
