CDL Flatbed Full Job Description Job Overview:

• 30% per load We are seeking a skilled Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over various routes in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a semi truck with a 48ft flatbed local and OTR
• Properly secure loads on a flatbed using straps, chains and binders, and tarps for required loads
• Maintain accurate driving logs and records
• Perform pre-trip post-trip inspections and perform preventative maintenance
• Communicate with dispatchers to coordinate loads, plan routes effectively and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies.

Skills:

• Ability to handle tractor-trailers
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Proficiency in route driving
• Knowledge of regional lanes for efficient transportation
• Knowledge of automotive repairs for basic maintenance task
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Candidates must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and have a clean driving record. Experience in the transportation industry is preferred.
